Attorney

Mr. Gillingham, a native of Thousand Oaks, received his law degree from the Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, where his strong writing skills earned him a position as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research and Writing, as well as multiple CALI Awards. He has been admitted to the Bar in California and is also a Certified Public Accountant. Before starting his law firm, he interned for a judges in both Los Angeles and Ventura County Superior courts, and spent approximately a decade in various corporate finance and accounting rolls for a Big 4 accounting firm, and in private industry, where he gained extensive financial and managerial experience. He also has the privilege of participating in the local The Jerome H. Berenson American Inn of Court with the Ventura County Bar Association. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Gillingham earned a Master’s Degree in Accounting with an emphasis in tax from the nation’s top accounting program at the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Gillingham also received his Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and Entrepreneurship, with honors, from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona, graduating cum laude. While in school, he had the privilege of living in both Barcelona, Spain, and Hong Kong for several months. Running with the Bulls was a highlight of the Spanish experience.

While not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his wife Evelina and three children. You'll often find him hiking, fishing at the Channel Islands, mountain biking, or playing golf (when he can). Lately, youth sports have preoccupied his and his son's time. Though its been about a decade, he dreams of returning to the Caribbean to scuba-dive and catch up on some rest and relaxation.
